I don't know anymore.

Is this the supposed quarter life crisis? I can't believe that I'm facing it at my age of 21(almost 22). Or perhaps in a lifetime of 84 years, 21 is quarter life.

I'm thinking about work, thinking about school, and so the cycle repeats. Can someone be my source of motivation to get through this period of life?

I have a few plans lined up, but am still deciding on which course to take.

Anyway boss just told me that due to the projects July to October would be a busy period.

My exams are in October to November.

I only have another year to go! (Provided I don't fail T__T). I heard that the modules for my last year is really difficult omg.

In addition to all these, my seat in office is super cold and I have to wear a super thick sweater daily. My lips get dry and start peeling, my eyes are dry and can't focus well.. Working hours are long here too. 8.30am to 6pm but I reach office at 7.50a.m. due to the company bus.

And ever since working here, my weight went up, my dark eyes circles got darker (how is it even possible?!), I get headaches frequently and I think I'm suffering from hair loss.

I also always fall asleep in class/can't concentrate well. Or feel super tired at work.

I know I shouldn't think that my life is shitty. Can someone lead me and be my motivation?

Or just advice me.

I need hugs. I need support...

Was on the computer the whole day yesterday.

Watched City Hunter - Starring Lee Min Ho and Park Min Young.

Handsome man. He's intelligent(PhD from MIT), can fight, rich and handsome in this drama! How can anyone dislike him?

Watch here. There's only 6 eps out now so you can take your time watching!

Watched my little black dress (movie) - starring Yoon Eun Hye, Yoo In Na, Park Han Byul and another girl. It's a chick flick movie which I watched because of Park Han Byul (Se7en's GF!) and Yoo In Na.

Watch here. This movie talks about friendship and life of graduates, which I suppose would happen to us soon. Or already happening. :x

I also read a whole drama! It's all because of Lee Min Ho. Again. I read the famous (or infamous) Boys Over Flowers. All 25 eps because I realized that I prefer to read dramas than watch drama. Is this normal? It takes less time to complete too, and you get the whole story.

Bintan Trip with Company!

Went on an overseas trip with the company on 27 May 2011 to 29 May 2011.

It's an awesome trip! I really really enjoyed myself and had (I've got to say) the most fun amidst the period of working there.

Bought the apple garde spray for my bag

This spray will (supposedly) protect your bag from stains etc..

Because this bag is one of the biggest purchases in my life (that I paid for myself) I would take reasonably good care of it.

Should I get the leather cleaner and conditioner too? My fingernails scratched the leather and I'm very upset. So now there's a scratch on the leather T__T.

2. Makeup - eyeliner

My friends (and family) would know that I swear by eyeliner. You don't need any other makeup, just eyeliner will do. Eyes will DOUBLE in size, if you draw it nicely.

Well, concealer is required (for me) also because of my dark eye circles.
The good thing is that when I wear contact lens I will definitely put concealer so don't have to bring out!

3. The essentials pouch

Comes in form of a Mickey Mouse pouch!

With:

i) Eye drops for contacts

ii) Eyeliner pencil

iii) Lipgloss

iv) Moisturizer

v) mini sewing kit

Useful, in case of dry eyes, dry face, dry lips and any accidental wardrobe malfunction.

4. Pen

Lovely uniball 0.38 served me from 'O' levels!

5. Toothbrush + toothpaste

This only became important after I have braces up. Can't wait for the removal of it next year!

Anyway my front teeth are really straight now, the focus is currently on pushing my buck teeth in. And closing the gaps caused by the extraction of 4 teeth.

6. Tissue paper

Most important. Must bring. Must bring. Must bring. Must bring.

7. my approaching 3 years old iTouch

Useful as a MP3 player/mail checking/net surfing/games playing device.
Works as a backup mirror too.

The home button is spoilt for ages and I'm not gonna do anything about it.

8. Umbrella

Essential for rainy Singapore. Especially when you don't want to get your shoes wet.
Poncho might be better for not getting shoes wet.

Contact Lens and some others

I haven't been blogging regularly because there's nothing much happening in my life.

Exams are over for this sem! Holiday till end June :)
I'm officially free on weekends and evenings

I took some pictures of my new contact lens because they cost $220. T__T
Lasik is waiting for me.
I look forward to the day I don't have to wear spectacles or contact lens.

My new lens - Biomedics - Bioifinity Toric!

The optician told me that I can wear these monthly disposable lenses for up to 14 hours a day.

The first few wears were very comfortable, although the lenses are difficult to remove. They are so slippery and my fingers can't get a grip on it the first 3 days! I spent 10minutes trying to remove it on the first day and that's very bad news, considering that I can wear contacts without a mirror after being a user for 5 years.

It's the middle of the month now and the lenses get dry in my eyes more often that I have to use eye drops T__T. Just stick to spectacles :x

The good news was that my degree dropped in both eyes! My eyesight is still bad as you can see from my prescription.

Myopia : 575 and 600

Astigmatism : 225 and 175

Most of the people I know don't even have astigmatism, or have it in less than 100 degrees. What's with my absurdly high astigmatism?!

Anyway I read that astigmatism is hereditary so it's probably not my fault.

Reading in bed/reading under blanket with torch light/reading the whole day/lying down while reading/using computer the whole day = NOT the cause of astigmatism. They affect myopia only.

And my only pair of coloured contacts left! Last year I bought 5 pairs and is treating them like daily disposables lol.

Can't see the colour/design but it's probably brown lens.

For coloured contacts, brown and grey seems to be the most natural to me. Rather than black where I'll just look like some evil killing doll.

Last weekend my neighbour who lives opposite us got married!

It's the second time I attended a Malay wedding(the first was when his elder sister got married) and I realized that their weddings are very fun! The guys(friends) will play the drums and take turns to dance around the groom and bride! And the groom is like the king because he will just sit there to watch the performance and people will wipe his sweat. lol.

Congratulations!

And his wedding car is a convertible Porsche.

My dad was more interested in his car then the wedding food etc.

Inconsiderate shop aunties who refuse to sell things to you because "they are closing and is unable to take the item you want for you". And so you have no choice but to travel to another location 30min away because you need the item urgently.

Unless you really really like the item so much after staring at it for 3 months then perhaps you can just get it.

I shouldn't be writing this kind of things down because I just bought a pair of $49.95 shoes(super sale!) from Jwest. Which I last saw in Nov 2010 and tried it on but found it too exp (on sale at ~90+ that time). The original price (in Nov 2010) was around $190 and I bought it for less than $50. My cousin got married last weekend and he invited us (nee chan and me) to his ROM ceremony! The buffet lunch was at Grand Corpthrone Waterfront hotel located right beside Zouk.

Congratulations!

With a lot of helium balloons. I also want a lot of helium balloons for my wedding!

We missed the signing of the marriage certificate because we were hiding in the toilet and didn't know about it :(.

CNY this year (and every previous year) is full of food! So much chinese new year goodies and there's only so little that you can eat.

It was a short celebration because we could only catch you after your class!

NEVER EVER let mum wash my clothes

My parents are clothes killer. Dad likes to play with bleach and mum likes to let the clothes colour run.

My favourite Zara tee now has funny little dots caused by bleach.

My pretty pink Esprit blazer is now a weird tint of blue. Not pink anymore.

For some unknown reason she doesn't realize that dark coloured clothes are TO BE WASHED SEPARATELY.

Please let me wash my own clothes which I have been trying to do the past few years.

Everything seem probable except for point 4. Doing tutorial is a torture to lazy me. And revision is only for before tests or exams.

I better start flipping through the notes so that my grades can be alright.

I have been exercising(jogging) with nee chan lately. Just a few days ago she made me run 3km. And we walked back home which made the total distance traveled to be more than 6km.

Little wonder my knee hurts.

I need to pop glucosamine pills like old people.

Went to the doctors again yesterday. It's my 4th visit this month and he asked me to go back for review this Sunday. FML T__T

I ate so much medicine that should last me for the whole of 2011.
In addition to 60pc of antibiotics, doctor also prescribed additional antibiotics that cost $10 PER PIECE. Now that is super FML.

Ordinary antibiotics which I have to finish. 6 trays of 10s = 60 pills.
He even instructed me to wake up at night to eat, 2 pills every 6 hours.
His exact words "set alarm clock and wake up to eat.".

$10 per piece antibiotics but there's only 4 pieces. That's $40 already, which can buy me new shoes.

And all these are in addition to the other pills I had to eat, such as medication for:

Sorethroat x2

Cough x3

Flu x2

Infection x2

Cough syrup 1 bottle

And all these are in packets which means that I probably ate more than 100 pills within 2 weeks.

The irony was that the doctor is also sick when I visited him yesterday and it's also the first time he gave me 2 days MC after visiting him for the last 20 years.

GET WELL SOON WTF I DON'T WANT TO BE SICK DURING CNY!

The company granted us an early release at 4pm so we arranged to meet in Orchard.

Lose weight - Braces are only doing their job of straightening my teeth, and not assisting me in losing weight! How did others lose 5kg whereas I'm gaining weight? T__T
Pass all my exams - Should get a credit and above. I cannot get over the Financial accounting grade where I received a mere pass. Traumatized.

This Christmas, the company I worked in had a Christmas party!

We (the RC team) went around shopping for individual xmas presents for ALL the staff, and we even segregate the guys and the girls so that we can buy girly things for the ladies and manly things for the males.
*however I heard that they are not very appreciative so, well, conclusion is that you can't please everyone.
I mean, they can even complain about Marks and Spencers gift box with things worth over $100! What more can you say...

Team members saw some cute bags from Korea and decided to buy 2 as gifts. Not the one shown above, but something that is not so "striking".

The team also decided that we should dress up as Santa claus and Santarinas so we went out to search and rent the santa costume. *the santarina costume was purchases so I have a new dress!

I can't resist trying on the black wing because it happened that I was wearing a black dress that day.

Visited KL with lovely (S)SKY 2 weeks ago!

It's considered a holiday for us as we went there mainly for food and shopping!
This is also my first time going overseas without parents and (s)sky spent half a year planning this trip!

From the hotel booking to transport to places to go. ♥

It's enjoyable and I went all out in the shopping. Love my shopping companions although you guys didn't buy that much things :(

Time flies when you are having fun and it's time to go back to Singapore again. Not that I don't miss Singapore but it was fun outside and shopping the whole day with friends you love.

Earlier this month was hahaue's birthday. We had dinner at a restaurant in Jurong and I bought a bangawang solo cake which she doesn't like. T__T

I'm lost without skype at work.. T__T because skype was down the whole morning and I can't chat with anyone.

It's Christmas soon! First batch of Gingerbread man out this morning. I had to wake up early to roll out the dough and cut the shapes. Thankfully I prepared the dough last night and it has to rest in the fridge for at least 2 hours anyway.

Triple Three on the company

The company I work in had a R&R (Rest and Recreational) event a couple weeks ago and we went to this atas restaurant called triple three for dinner buffet. And the buffet is on the company. yay to free food! The buffet is $60+++/pax which means that I will probably not willingly try it out (at my current age and earning power) because it is so expensive.

Because this is a buffet, the pictures are not that well taken. Furthermore, the lighting there sucks. It's really dark and my camera cannot capture good pictures in the dark. But the setting is romantic and relaxing.

Satay!

Satay where they BBQ it there for you. Colleagues say it is really good but I did not manage to try it. The food there are really filling you know?

Sashimi and Sushi

They have a chef there with slabs of sashimi in front of him. You can order from the chef by stating what type of fish you want and the serving and he will slice them right in front of you. I took a picture of the chef slicing but it turn out to be blur. :(

I have no love for raw food person so I only order 1 slice for Tuna, Salmon and yellowtail. Anyway the fish are really fresh and my colleagues really liked it.

Chawan-mushi!

I am a egg person and I will always eat chawanmushi whenever I go to any Japanese restaurants. This is served in a small bowl straight out of the steamer. The egg is smooth and there are meat chunks and mushrooms and Naruto fishcake, topped with fish roe.

Awww now I want to eat egg.

The miscellaneous food I took on my plate

Consist of(from top left clockwise): Mango sushi, mayonnaise prawn, grilled salmon, grilled sea bass, some other meat chucks I can't remember and broccoli. The sea bass is my favourite because the consistency is like cod fish and it's really delicious. It's a must try for anyone going there.

The prawns are really crunchy (like those from crystal jade dim sum) but colleagues didn't like it, reason being it's too fake because it's too crunchy.

Colleagues also ate the beef there (they have wagyu beef and grilled beef) which they said that the grilled beef is really good. Beef eaters should try it too!

They serve some other raw seafood too

I think the prawns are cooked. I didn't try too because eewww raw food wtf.

Freshly fried tempura

Colleagues said it is nice but I didn't manage to try.

They have other food there such as pasta and indian food which I also didn't try because I was full after my first plate of food T___T. But it all smells delicious.

I jumped to dessert after that because desserts are always my favorite!

They have a few selections of cakes such as mango mousse, chocolate truffles and cheesecakes. I especially love the chocolate truffle because it's rich and sweet and chocolaty. Their pecans and almond cheesecake is delicious too!

I think my new love cheeese cake flavor is nutty cheesecakes.

They have kueys and ice creams too!

I ate the black sesame icecream but didn't try the kueys.

It was a fun experience and the food there are quite delicious, albeit expensive. The service is really good too, with the waiters/waitresses changing our plates in like 10 seconds after we finish the food on it. If you are rich and likes buffet please go!

Winter and rainy days

Mummy was talking about bringing my cute baby niece Angelica home to stay over for one day but Daddy is against it.

So I guess, no babies stay over at my home then.

Earlier this month some of us (uni mates) went for a short trip to JB together.

We took the public transport in from woodlands and only shopped at City Square.

Ate lunch at Nando's in Malaysia. First time eating their food, I think they are just average?

Everyone ordered the quarter chicken with 2 sides.

I especially hate their potato salad. Or maybe it's because I hate the sauce?

But the chicken is quite delicious.

And after eating we went for some shopping.

Saw a shop selling a lot of domo kun(s). Didn't know that domo kun has animation.

We also ate beard papa for snacks

I bought a dress and a belt from there but was lazy to get pictures. Maybe over the weekends.

Bought some cakes from Secret Recipe as take away back to Singapore too! I love chocolate banana. I wanted to get blackforest cake but I ordered the chocolate indulgence accidentally. Because it was located right beside the blackforest cake T__T

Followed Dad out on one weekend and got caught in this absurdly heavy rain.

I miss walking in the rain and being totally drenched.

It reminds me of the time when I was young and free from burdens and responsibilities.

Went to Imperial Treasure at Takashimaya with Nee chan a few weeks ago.

Food!

Yummy porridge with chicken and century eggs.

The porridge is so yummy that you can even eat it plain without any toppings!

红油炒手 which is nee chan's absolute love. It's really delicious and I remember in the past I didn't dare to eat it because the chilli scares me away. But now there are no such thoughts when I see yummy red hot meat dumplings.

Prawn Chee Cheong Fun which crunchy crunchy prawns

Fried Carrot puff which was pipping hot. The crust is really fragrant and crispy!

Fried onion puff. As much as I ate onions, the fried version is actually not bad.

And egg tarts which has no looks appeal but instead is really delicious.

Chocolate Truffles cake which kinda taste like the chocolate truffles I make.

Nowadays I only eat, so my blog posts are about food.

Or this is just another excuse not to study. I have really really short attention span. Like 10 minutes because I get distracted easily.

During examination period instead of studying boring shits like:

It's exams period again which means more blogging (based on past trends)

I finally got around to uploading pictures that were from long ago that has been parked in my camera for ages.

Went for for dinner with LM a few weeks ago at Coffee Club!

3 main courses and 2 of us finished them. It's not really delicious so people should only go there for dessert.

And delicious dessert but I totally forgot the name of this.

Anyway it was about $40+ bucks for the 2 main dishes + 1 dessert because I had a coupon for a free main dish with 2 sets ordered. Which was why we ordered 3. It's free! Hahaha!

Had sorethroat and back aches and dry coughs and headaches due to viral infection and having insufficient sleep.

T___T really really hate being sick but ever since that time I decided that I shall go to the doctors when I'm not feeling well.

I get 1 day MC too which means that I can sleep in! yay love sleeping in.

And doctor gave me tons of medicine and told me to sleep more.

For some unknown reason I really really want to buy something for myself.

I'm still looking out for the perfect leather bag that I can use for ~3years without changing as you can tell from the previous few posts. But I can only bear to fork out $500 for such an investment T___T.

And Nee chan bought a pair of gorgeous buckle boots from Pedro recently and I also fell in love with their heels! And they had to take such gorgeous pictures of their shoes which makes people totally want to buy them.

Went to the pump room at clarke quay with nee chan and her friends last Saturday.

I should really just avoid clubbing because it's not that fun anymore. Or maybe because the pump room is filled with people double my age. Old people T___T. Or maybe because I dislike their song choices.

Sometimes I wonder about really random things.

Like how it is always easier to blame someone else rather then yourself when incidents occur.

Like how people actually (usually) think that the fault falls on the other party more, and much lesser than on themselves.

Like how there may not be only 2 sides to every story. And stories may not be mere represented by coins (2 sides) but rather dices (6 or more sides). The background, other's opinions, are usually not shown on the surface. Resentment from previous dealings? Mindset formed from other's opinions?

Most of these are hidden and the person concerned will not even realize that all these are already formed in his/her brain. Unless someone happened to ask about it or some event occurred to make him/her think about it.

Anyway, such things are inevitable in life. Just take everything with an open mind and hope for a better tomorrow.

Full of random thoughts today. I was reminded of pigs when I see people with tattoos. Not that I have anything against tattoos, but some of the tattoos really remind of me the label tattoos printed on pigs to differentiate/identify them.

Stupid iTouch

Did I mention that the home button on my iTouch sunk in and now it's a pain in the ass when I want to go back to the home page/exit any applications.

And now I can no longer double press on the home button to activate the music player.

And my pretty headphones spoilt too. The sound comes out alright but it was loose at the adjustment and will drop down when I walk. So now I have to use the original apple earphones which is really really old and no longer white, but instead a weird greyish shade.

At least the iTouch was a gift and it lasted me for more than 2 years before dying. And not exactly dying because it is still functioning except for the stupid home button.

Should I send it for repairs? But it's 1st Gen iTouch which is considered ancient by now.

The new iTouch was recently released too. But I am too cheapo to spend my $ to get a new one.

The company I am working in now just had a mobile roadshow in our office and they were having promotion for the purchase of iPhone 4 at only ~200 with sign up/renewal of contract plan, monthly bill of only $30+. Which happens to be close to the amount of telephone bill I pay monthly. But alas, I'm really really too cheapo to spend extra money on a new phone when mine functions perfectly except that it fell onto the floor too many times and has a lot of weird dents and scratches.

Well, too bad.

We went on a Sunday which started off with raining heavily in the morning. T___T

Lovely daddy who drove us there! We even had breakfast first.

And excited us in the car although it was raining.

QP brought a tiny bag and stuffed her things into my bag. T___T

Back to Egypt because we decided to walk one more round as not to waste to $72 on entrance ticket.

Now checking out where to go for the actual shopping to buy tourist-y things

We bought the Polaroid camera along so we also took a few pictures!

In hersheys shop and a lot of Reese's and candies.

And the picture with the huge rotation USS globe in the background!

After that we went and walk around the luxury street which has Jimmy Choo etc.. When we are rich we will be able to buy them!

After the not so exciting trip at USS we went and had paella for dinner at Serenity where cai tou QP told them that she ate paella at Spain before and then they started serving $5 mineral water from the island of Fiji. FML.

Which was funny because I was telling her that if the bottled water cost $5 I'm going to slap her. That's why when she got the bill initially she refused to let me see it.

This bottle of water cost $5.00, seriously. Out of all the times I've been there, this is the first time they served mineral water instead of tap water from the jug.

This shows that you cannot go to expensive places with QP because she is a cai tou.

T___T so upset hahaha

$10 spent on water excluding GST and service charge!

Okay this happens to be the most interesting thing that happened to me this month so I guess I wouldn't really be blogging about any other things already.
